IN THE MAP PACK
Technical SEO, practice area pages and local search, aimed at the person who needs a lawyer this week and is reading the first three results before calling one.
Two things. The clicks are some of the most expensive on Google, so every position you hold organically is money you are not spending on ads. And Google treats legal advice as a topic where a wrong answer can hurt someone, so it rewards pages that show who wrote them, what their credentials are and where they practise. Thin content that works in other niches does not rank here.
Ads stop the day the budget does, and in personal injury or criminal defence a single click can cost more than a hundred dollars. Organic rankings take longer to build and keep working after you stop paying. Most firms we work with keep the ads for their most urgent terms and let SEO take the rest.
On a broad term like divorce lawyer, usually not, and you do not need to. Avvo, Justia and FindLaw are where many people find your name first. What you can win is the specific search: a practice area in a particular city, your firm's name, a named attorney. When someone sees you in a directory and then searches for you, they should land on your site, not a profile page with a competitor's ad next to it.
Yes, and we ask which bars you are admitted to before we write anything. That means no promised outcomes, no words like guaranteed, past results only with the disclaimer your jurisdiction requires, and testimonials only where they are allowed. Reviews get answered without confirming the person was ever a client.
One page per area of law, and one page per city where you actually take cases, each with something specific to say. A hundred pages that swap the city name and nothing else are the fastest way to rank for none of them. We start with the area and city that bring your most valuable cases and build out from there.
Access to your site, analytics, Search Console and Google Business Profile, the bars your attorneys are admitted to, and how your intake tracks where a case came from. That last one matters most. Without it we cannot show you what an organic case is actually worth to you.
